Journey back from the edge

When I took this shot, it was just meant to be another macro and I was actually a tad annoyed with the composition. However, during post processing I decided to try telling a story with it. So here goes...

This is the tale of a journey to the brink of nothingness, to the final edge where everything hung in the balance. It didn't end there though; a page turned and a new chapter now begins....it begins with a step away from the edge and back to where things are  more familiar and perhaps a bit safer.  The  thing with certain journeys though is that they have a way of changing us so  that even when we return, things are not quite the way we remember them.

Okay, done with the rambling. Have a great week everyone! :)

Great macro (as usual) Stan ! smile
A likey, of course.
Ahhhh. How did you get so close to this fly? What a great shot.
Stan: Lots of patience and slow deliberate motions. Also don't try getting close in one go or the bug spooks and disappears. Thanks for stopping by smile
